Our House From Here is an album about finding a new home, in a new country as you look ahead chasing your dreams, and at the same time look back in search of your own roots. The participation of Newfoundland artists, Darren Browne (mandolin, guitar, bass), Carole Bestvater (fiddle), Hunter Madden (bass) and Dean Stairs (keys, guitar), grants the album an amplitude and wealth of timbres and textures that, in a way, reflect perfectly the mix of influences from our Brazilian roots and our new home in Canada.
Ana & Eric arrived in St. John’s, Newfoundland, just over two years ago from Brazil. After performing together for many years in Folk and Bossa Nova projects, Ana Luísa Ramos and Eric Taylor Escudero have created a repertoire with the best of the two worlds. The partnership started in 2012 as Ana was featured in Eric´s folk-rock project. In 2016 Ana released her debut album “Um”, with originals songs written by Eric and covers of traditional Brazilian songs and a Gershwin brothers Standard Jazz, and last year released "Amanheceu" composing a few of those tunes herself. Having performed in Brazil, Denmark, Austria, Portugal, Scotland, and Canada, Ana and Eric present an unique offering that combines Folk, Bossa Nova, and Brazilian Popular Music, featuring original songs and covers in English and Portuguese

“ Ana & Eric bring a wonderfully warm and comfortable character to their music. The duo present a compelling combination of Old World Folk music along with Brazilian Bossa Nova. We look forward to working with them and bringing their music to an expanding audience” — Dean Stairs, Citadel House.
Ana & Eric Door Posters symbolize their life. Brazilian born and raised, and yet, their lives take them through a door of sorts into other cultures and experiences.
